Why I Finally Got a Tumble Dryer – and Why I’ll Never Go Back

I held out for years. Told myself it was a luxury. That air drying was fine. But after one week of rain and three school uniforms that would not dry I cracked.

I bought a tumble dryer. And I am a changed woman.

Why the Tumble Dryer Changed Everything

What I Bought and Why I Love It

I chose a heat pump tumble dryer. Energy efficient. Quiet. No venting required. It was an investment but honestly cheaper than emotional breakdowns and rewashing the same socks three times.

Do You Still Hang Anything

Yes. Delicates. Things with fussy care labels. But 90 percent of my laundry? In. Out. Done. No drama.

Is It Expensive to Run

Far less than expected. Especially with heat pump models. And the emotional ROI? Immeasurable.

Final Thought

This is not about being fancy. It is about making motherhood easier. Laundry less soul sucking. And mornings more manageable.

Sometimes self care is dry pants by 9am. And that counts.
