The short version
Darling Mellow uses a few essential cookies to make the site work. The only optional cookies are affiliate cookies from Partnerize and Awin, and they only load if you choose “Accept All”. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising tracker and no social media pixel on this site.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device, so it can remember things between pages or between visits.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to work, so they do not need your permission. None of them track you.
- dmcc_consent remembers whether you chose “Accept All” or “Essential Only”. It lasts one year.
- hc_js_gate is a short security check that confirms you are using a real browser, which helps keep bots and spam off the site.
- WordPress login cookies, with names starting wordpress_ or wp-, are only set if you log in to an account.
- Comment cookies are only set if you tick “save my name” when leaving a comment.
Optional cookies
Partnerize is an affiliate network. Its cookies let a shop know you arrived from Darling Mellow, so we can earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. They only load after you choose “Accept All”.
Awin is another affiliate network and works the same way. Its tag only loads after you choose “Accept All”.
Cookies set by other websites
Some posts link to Amazon or to shops in the Awin affiliate network. If you click one of those links, that company may set its own cookies on its own website, under its own cookie policy.
Changing your choice
Change your cookie choice. This clears the choice you made and shows the cookie banner again. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
